The Sussex Peasant was started by Sussex-based Edward Johnstone, with the aim of bringing the finest local and seasonal produce from sustainable Sussex farmers to local people. He restored an old horse lorry and has been travelling and setting up in different parts of Sussex over the past few months.
We are pleased to announce that his farm shop will be based at Trading Boundaries every Friday morning from 10am – 1pm, starting 30th June.
“The Sussex Peasant has created a community of farmers to support the mobile farm shop it has created. In creating a community of enterprising farmers we directly and solely sell their produce to customers via our mobile farm shop,” says Ed, adding: “Sourcing the finest local produce is paramount to what we do.”
His farm shop will be selling pasture fed native bred cuts of beef, chicken, pork and lamb; locally caught fish and shellfish; fruit and vegetables; home baked bread, cakes and pastries; locally produced cheese and dairy products; chutneys and jams.
It’s the perfect opportunity to stock up for the weekend!
