Trading Boundaries is situated in a grade-II listed Georgian coaching Inn built in in 1777 to cater to the traffic and travellers to the nearby Sheffield Park manor. Straddling the main thoroughfare to Brighton, the building became extremely popular as a staging and rest point for business people and tourists on the road to the budding seaside town. For many years the building survived as a hotel, pub, music venue, magistrates court and public meeting space. Today of course the old coaching inn is home to Trading Boundaries.
