To allow plenty of room for dancing, we have three ticket options available:

Dining - On the top level around the dance floor, you will have your table for the night with full table service.

Dancefloor dining - You'll be served dinner and enjoy the first set from your table positioned on the dancefloor, which will then be removed in the interval for dancing! There will be tables for you to put your drinks on.

Standing - Enjoy watching the show from around the venue and hit the dance floor after the interval! You can still shimmy during the first half!

ABOUT SHAKATAK

Shakatak have enjoyed a level of success and career longevity, over 40 years, rarely paralleled in contemporary music, but then Shakatak is a particularly unusual group. The nature of their music means their fan base is far reaching, whilst retaining that “underground” element. This paradox sees the band, who are known primarily as serious jazz/funk musicians, enjoying both high “cult” status, as well as instant recognition as a household name.

After a number of successful top-twenty singles in the UK, the band went on to score unprecedented international success, with the release of the classic ‘Night Birds” album in 1982, the title track now becoming a standard in the popular music repertoire.

This success was repeated with the top-ten hit 'Down On The Street' and their Official award-winning video established the band’s personnel of Jill Saward (lead vocals), Bill Sharpe (keys), Keith Winter(guitar), George Anderson (bass) and Roger Odell (drums). With the magic Al Jarreau/Shakatak combination, the group went on to record the track ‘Day by Day’ to further international acclaim.

Along with this successful recording career, Shakatak have firmly established themselves as a vibrant live act, combining astute musicianship with a personable sense of fun, that communicates strongly with their audiences world-wide. Their performance in Japan’s Budoken Hall won them a Silver Award at the Tokyo International Song Festival! Other live concerts of note have been the 'East meets the West Border' concert at the time of German re-unification in 1989 and the open air concert in Cape Town for the Millennium Celebrations 2000 where they played in front of 250,000 people. They still regularly fly south and entertained a large audience in South Africa, the back end of 2023.

Their latest album “Across The World', their 46th was released just last year and is being well received by audiences at their current concerts.

For live performances, the band consists of the four original members Bill on keys, Jill on lead vocals, percussion and flute, Roger on drums, George on bass guitar, augmented with a guitarist (currently original member Keith Winter) and a backing vocalist/saxophonist, producing a musically dynamic and entertaining show from the 6 piece line-up.

Dining Tickets:

Dining tickets include a table reservation for the evening and a delicious two course dinner. Upon arrival you will be shown to your table where you can enjoy dinner & drinks before kicking back to enjoy the show. There are always vegetarian/vegan options on the menu and we are happy to cater for any other dietary requirements - although we kindly ask (in the case of major allegies) that guest notify us in advance where possible.

Premium booths require a minumum of 4 persons and there is a small additional surcharge for booking. Contact our showroom on 01825 790 200 to learn more and make a reservation. All guest are welcome to explore the showrooms (which are open all evening) before and after dinner and our friendly staff will be on hand to assist with any questions you have or purchases you may wish to make. Please follow social distancing guidelines at all times and pay attention to any one way systems arranged around the venue.

Standing Tickets:

Although we recommend dining tickets as the best way to experience our events, we also have limited room for standing guests at most shows. Due to the nature of our restaurant, standing guests are invited to use our bar and shopping areas until 30 minutes before the event. Standing guests are welcome to browse the Roger Dean Gallery, make use of the heated decking area and browse our showrooms until shortly before the show begins.Please note there is no allocated seating for standing guests.

Showtimes & Information:

Please note our doors open at 7pm. Tickets are non refundable however in the unlikely event a concert is cancelled, a refund will be offered or a credit note issued.

Unless otherwise stated all concerts will begin approx 8.45pm - 9pm and generally finish between 11.15pm and midnight.

Shows will usually consist of two 45 minute sets with a short 20 minute interval although this may vary between events. Please check the event specific information on your tickets after purchase.

In line with the relaxation of Government guidelines we have made the following changes to our Events Policy. The measures below are for all of our upcoming events from 28 February 2022.

• We encourage all guests to carry out a lateral flow test before attending any concerts at TB. In the unfortunate event of you, or one of your party, testing positive we will issue you with a credit note to use for further bookings!
• Hand sanitiser will available at various locations around the venue and we encourage you to use it
• Please support our staff by showing patience whenever queuing is required. We'll be trying our best to serve you as fast as possible!
• Please do not attend the event if you are feeling unwell or if you have been in contact with anyone with symptoms of Covid 19.
• By purchasing this ticket and attending the event you are declaring that you do not have symptoms of Covid 19.
